Data Collection

DropFormer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. We do not use analytics, tracking, or crash reporting services.

Image Processing

All image conversion happens locally on your Mac. Your photos never leave your device during the conversion process. The app:

• Reads HEIC/HEIF files from folders you specify
• Converts them to JPG or PNG format on your device
• Saves the converted files to your chosen location

AI-Powered Naming (Optional)

DropFormer offers an optional AI-powered file naming feature. If you choose to enable this:

• OpenAI: If you connect your own OpenAI API key, images may be sent to OpenAI's servers for analysis. This is governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Ollama (Local): If you use Ollama, all AI processing happens locally on your device. No data is sent externally.

The AI naming feature is entirely optional and disabled by default. You have full control over whether to use it and which service to use.

Network Access

DropFormer only connects to the internet when:

• You enable the OpenAI integration for AI-powered file naming
• Checking for app updates (if enabled through the Mac App Store)

No other network connections are made.

Data Storage

DropFormer stores your preferences (output format and quality settings) locally on your Mac using standard macOS preferences. This data is not synced or transmitted anywhere.

Third-Party Services

DropFormer does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Children's Privacy

DropFormer does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
